				RADIGUET & CORDONNIER, prominent and extremely rare fashion doll by Radiguet & Cordonnier, Paris around 1880, porcelain parts by Jumeau for R&C, very unusual and skillful modelled socket head made of pressed bisque, on a deep breast plate with strong formed breasts, breast plate is marked on the reverse as follows: RC  DEPOSÈ, laughing modelled opened-closed mouth with two intimitated lines of teeth, cheeks with deep dimples, long slim nose, sloping fix brown glass eyes, fine painting, pierced earlobes with earring, original red-brown mohair wig on a cork base with complex put up hairs and comb, unusual nice and detailed formed very long bisque forearms, the left arm is strongly bended at the elbow, bisque lower leg with modelled shoes, glued on original leather shoes with buckle and black silk stockings, pink silk garter, sleeves in the heels are used to put it on a doll stand, body is made of fine kid leather, black polished wooden stand (probably original) with mounted pins,  at the bottom with rests of a paper label, original clothes: vest, underpants, two slips (one slip with a long train), gorgeous corset made of cream-colored silk satin, two-part robe made of silk jacquard, silk  taffeta and lace with long train and "Cul de Paris". antique Brisé-fan made of sawn ivory.
 size of the doll:  c. 43/44 cm, with stand: c. 46/47 cm.
conservation status: excellent original condition, fine insignificant press line at the right side of the head, clothes are partially  dirty and yellowed, minimal worn in a few places, no cracks or flaked off parts at the porcelain parts.
A museum piece  in top quality.
 An absolute rarity, an unique specimen - probably a prototype or a specimen. We know only a second head with blue eyes, that was sold in 2005 in the USA on a normal fashion doll body.
