MÄRKLIN steamship, AMERIKA, 1912, handpainted tin, electric drive, engine is available, without accumulator, 98 cm, 4 funnels, 10 lifeboats, at the side with 2 hinged doors, with stairs, 2 screws, from a private property, the son of an owner of a fruit farm, born in 1906, in the age of 6 years the child comes down with a life-threatening disease, when the child (still 6 years old) recovered, this MÄRKLIN ship Amerika was given to him, in adulthood he want to emigrate to America, this wish was a result of playing with the ship, but instead of it he became a successful entrepreneur in Germany, his childhood dream was never carried out, the item was in family estate since that time and was now delivered by the children, some subareas were once over painted in the 20's, but the old paintwork is partially still shimmering through, all tin pieces were never changed and survived in original condition, the original wooden box without cover is available, it is an evidence of the high-quality crafmanship of the German tin toy industry
