Beautiful French baby doll by Leon Casimir Bru, Bru Jne Biscuit porcelain crank-head doll, mounted on a leather-trimmed biscuit porcelain base plate featuring hinted-at childlike breasts, firmly set almond-shaped brown paperweight eyes, delicate eyeshadow, full cheeks with a hint of a dimple, strongly sculpted lips with a faintly visible tip of the tongue, shaded lips and delicate outer contours, pierced earlobes, original leather body with leather gussets at the hips and knees, biscuit-colored forearms and hands, antique light-brown long real-hair wig on an original cork cap, antique undergarments, and elaborate red silk clothing with pleated drapery and a matching bonnet, red pearl earrings, pearl necklace, antique leather shoes marked “Eden Bebe Paris 11.” Condition: generally excellent, small repaired chip on the right ear, body shows signs of use and appears slightly disproportionate to the head.
